Photographer Julia Grossi was born in 1977 in Berlin.
Julia fell in love with photography while working and traveling the world as a model in her twenties. After a successful career as a model, her focus shifted to the
creative challenges behind the camera, leading her to study photography at Lette-Verein Berlin.
After graduating she assisted photographers, Enrique Badulescu in NYC among others, and then started to work for fashion and cosmetic brands in Germany, U.S.A. and South Africa.
Her editorial work has been published in Magazines such as Glamour to Sleek, Oyster, MaterialGirl and Fräulein.
Julia is in her element when working with people, preferably women; she captures the character and beauty of her subjects and brings these naturally to the foreground. Over the years her playful use of light and unusual and unique compositions has given her images a sculptural appeal. Julia has a keen eye for visually interesting locations and likes to work them into her pictures.
While being very organized when working, she is equally spontaneous and relaxed when interacting with her subjects. Having worked in the fashion industry a decade, she remains passionate and continues to push her creative boundaries.
Julia Grossi lives in Berlin with her photographer husband and two children.
